 The book "Verity" by Colleen Hoover is about a struggling author with financial issues named Lowen Ashleigh. One day she accepts a job offer. Jeremy Crawford, the husband of a famous author Verity Crawford, had hired Lowen to finish his injured wife's unfinished book series. 

Lowen arrives at the Crawford home  ready to sort years of Verity's notes, hoping to find enough things to get her started with the unfinished book series. What she didn't expect in Verity's office is an unfinished autobiography that Verity never wanted anyone to read. Page after page of horrifying things. 

Lowen decides to keep the manuscript hidden from Jeremy, knowing its content could horrify him. But Lowen's feeling grew for Jeremy and ended up telling him about the script. Lowen suspects Verity of faking her injuries because one day Crew, son of Jeremy and Verity Crawford tells Lowen that he talks with his mother. Lowen was terrified to live in Crawford home after seeing Verity the brain dead wife of Jeremy who can't even move a little standing on the staircase staring at her. She s Jeremy about it but he thinks she is seeing things . One evening Jeremy and Lowen finds out that Verity has been faking her injuries. Jeremy g ot very upset.
